Book Buff
For all you book buff's out there, here is a wonderful blog for you. 1st you get a brief summary of the book, then a review (in words a normal person can understand) another blog I highly reccomend! You can find the link to this blog on the left side of this blog under links, or check it out at http://www.thebookbuff.blogspot.com/
The Book Buff
Ever wanted a book review from a NORMAL person? Well, here you go, I'm a bookworm just like you giving my 2 cents. I don't have a masters degree in Literature (maybe someday), just a brain. Here, you will find some old, some new, and some in between. Enjoy!
My Rating System
At the end of every review, I will rate the book according to the system that I have found myself rating books by for years...is the book worth spending any money on? The following categorizations are ordered from best to worst:
1. Pay full price guilt free
2. Use a coupon at Borders
3. Find a used book store
4. Borrow from a friend
5. Don't even bother

October Book Group
In October, Book Group will be meeting to discuss the book Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. This book is about how we make snap judgements within the first two seconds of looking. These judgements are in all aspects of our lives, from marriage, to medical situations, to the military, and everything in between. Gladwell explains how to best use these judgements and how we can recognize them.
We hope you will join us on October 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Stacey Todd's house to share our ideas about the book. Even if you aren't able to finish it, please come because there will be so much we can talk about in all parts of the book!
